Presentation Requirements
1. The articles have to be submitted to the editorial office as printed copy as well as electronically or can be sent to the editorial office by email archived as a RAR file. The pictures can be in the same archive as the text and the file should not exceed 5 mb.
2. The article in total (text and illustrations) should contain from 4 to 20 pages of A4 format.
3. The article must be accompanied by an introductory letter from the institution (department, Science and Technology Council), expert conclusion on eligibility to be on the record, author’s application for publishing and author’s license agreement.
4. The text of the article should be thoroughly proof read.
5. The article should be signed by the authors stating their full names, academic credentials and titles, position, number of the published scientific papers and the area of research, postal code, name of the institution (organization), electronic mail address, telephone number. Photos of the authors should be submitted electronically with the resolution of no less than 300 dpi.
6. In the beginning of the article, in the top left corner, a UDC identifier should be placed. It should also contain the following (in the order of appearance): full title of the article, the initials and last names of the authors, abstract of no less than 120 words in Russian and English, (including relevance, problem definition, methods of solving the problem, results and conclusions), key words – concepts and terms used in the article (5 – 10 words), text of the article, references, informations about author.
7. The article should be written in the word processer Word 2010. The text should be typed at 1.5 interval, font Times New Roman, font size 14 on one side of the sheet with 2.5 cm margins without comments or inserts. Indents should be the same throughout the text at 1.25 cm. Quotation marks (« »), brackets ([ ], ()), dash in text (—) and hyphen (–) in numbers (1–5, 1996–1998, etc.) should be used as appropriate. The pages must be numbered. The article should contain references to the tables, pictures and sources cited in the materials. Only endnotes (continuous) should be used. Only automatic hyphenation must be used (manual hyphenation is strictly prohibited).
8. Additionally, originals of the pictures should be submitted to the editorial office as separate files in the .tif, .jpg, .bmp, .pdf, .eps format with the 300 dpi resolution. Color images (diagrams, photographs, computer box, and so forth) should be represented in color. All pictures should be numbered and should have captions. The use of (character graphics) as well as pictures, drawings and photographs created using obsolete techniques is not allowed.
9. Formulae should be typed using MathType. Greek characters should be typed in regular font, Russian characters in formulae (including those in indices) – in regular font, Latin characters – in italics.
10. The International System of Units (SI) should be used in the article. Abbreviation should be explained at their first mentioning in the text except for the commonly used units of measurement, physical, chemical, technical and mathematical values and terms (units of measurements are given in Russian).
11. The list of literature should contain references in the same order as they appear in the text. The references in the body of the article should be placed in square brackets. For articles, the following details should be mentioned: last name and initials of the author,title of the article, title of the journal, year, volume, number or issue, numbers of the pages where the article was published. The list of literature should include references to relevant scientific papers published in the last 5 years in peer-reviewed (indexed) scientific periodical publications. It is not recommended to use references to study books and study materials as well as non-peer-reviewed popular science magazines. The list of literature should contain at least 15 references to scientific journals. Self-citing should be avoided unless deemed necessary.
12. The author is notified when the article is received. The materials that do not meet the above-mentioned requirements and the scope of the journal are rejected without further consideration. The editorial office reserves the right not to enter into correspondence with those who have not fulfilled basic requirements for publishing. The date when the final version of the manuscript text, files and accompanying documents is received, is considered the date of receipt.
13. The manuscripts that satisfy the above-mentioned requirements are peer-reviewed. A decision on publishing is made by the editorial board.
14. The publication of papers in the journal is free of charge.
